What it is
The Worcester Bosch UPM 15-70CHG is a circulating pump used in Worcester Bosch gas boilers. It moves water around the heating circuit and, on combi models, through the domestic hot water plate heat exchanger, maintaining flow through the appliance and the radiators. This is the pump assembly supplied under Worcester Bosch part number 8716122126 and is listed against a large number of Greenstar and British Gas badged boilers.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fires and reaches temperature but radiators stay cold or heat unevenly.
- The pump head is noisy in use, with humming, grinding or rumbling that does not clear after venting.
- The appliance locks out or cycles repeatedly on an overheat condition because circulation has stopped.
- Domestic hot water temperature on combi models becomes erratic or the tap runs cold while the boiler is running.
