What it is
The Worcester Bosch baffle set, part number 8716121956, is a manufacturer component for the Greenstar appliance family. The baffles sit within the flue gas path of the heat exchanger, where they direct combustion gases and influence heat transfer across the surface. They are handled as a set, so the complete group is replaced rather than individual plates.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Combustion readings that fall outside the expected range on a flue gas analyser
- Visible distortion, corrosion or heavy sooting of the baffle plates on inspection
- Increased or altered combustion noise from the appliance under load
- Baffles found loose, misaligned or missing when the heat exchanger is opened for service
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the fitment list before ordering
- Check the baffle set is the component specified for the work in the manufacturer's service documentation
- Note that the fitment list includes both LPG and NG variants, so identify the fuel type of the appliance
