What it is
A brass olive from Worcester Bosch, supplied under part number 8716121846 and sized for 22 mm pipework. It sits inside a compression joint and is compressed by the nut to form a metal-to-metal seal against the pipe. It is a consumable item, so a fresh olive is fitted whenever a joint is remade.
Before you order
- Confirm the pipework is 22 mm; olives are size-specific and will not seal correctly on a different pipe diameter.
- Check that part number 8716121846 matches the joint being worked on.
- Olives are single-use, so order one for every joint being remade and allow for spares.
- Inspect the pipe end for scoring or damage before fitting, as a marked surface can prevent a reliable seal.
