What it is
A pack of 10 strain relief assemblies manufactured by Worcester Bosch, part number 8716121228. The strain relief secures the mains electrical cable where it enters the appliance casing, protecting the cable against tension and chafing at the entry point. It is used across the Greenstar 4000 and Gr4700IW combi and system boiler range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The strain relief is cracked, split or has lost its grip on the cable
- The mains cable moves or pulls freely at the casing entry
- Cable insulation is chafed, scuffed or worn where it passes through the casing
- Inner conductors are visible at the entry point
- The relief has been disturbed during a cable or PCB change and will not seat correctly
