What it is
The fan assembly is the draught component fitted to Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 series boilers. It draws the flue gases from the combustion chamber and pushes them through the flue system, maintaining the correct airflow across the burner throughout the firing cycle. The assembly is supplied as a complete unit for direct replacement on the Highflow 400 Electronic and Highflow 400 RSF Combi ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to fire, with the fan proving sequence not completing
- Grinding, whining or rumbling noise from the fan area during or after firing
- Intermittent operation where the boiler runs briefly and then shuts down
- Flue gas spillage or poor combustion readings traced to reduced airflow
- Visible damage, stiffness or play in the fan impeller or housing
