What it is
This is a diverter valve assembly supplied by Worcester Bosch for the Heatslave range of oil-fired combi boilers. The valve body carries the Honeywell reference V4044F1125 and directs primary water between domestic hot water and central heating demand. It is the assembly that governs the changeover between the two circuits on these appliances.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water runs cold or only lukewarm while the heating is calling
- Heating circuit warms when only hot water is demanded, or hot water when only heating is demanded
- The valve head does not move or hums without changing position
- Water weeping from the valve body, spindle or union joints
- Radiators stay cold on a hot water demand, or the boiler locks out on a diverter fault
