What it is
The Worcester Bosch 8716119948 is a fan assembly used on the 24i RSF range of gas combi boilers. It draws combustion air into the burner and drives the products of combustion out through the flue, and it supplies the air pressure signal the boiler control board uses to prove the fan is running before it allows ignition. Because the fan sits at the heart of the combustion sequence, a worn or failing unit will usually stop the boiler firing altogether.

- Whining, grinding or rumbling noise from the fan housing when the boiler starts
- Boiler attempts to fire but locks out, with no sustained flame
- Fan proving or air pressure fault indicated by the boiler controls
