What it is
The BACK PANEL is a Worcester Bosch component listed under part number 8716119906. It is the back plate used on Greenstar 8000+ Style and Greenstar GR8701IW appliance families. Its function is to close and support the rear of the appliance casing assembly, providing the mounting and covering surface behind the heat exchanger and pipework.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Corrosion, rust staining or surface breakdown across the panel
- Distortion or bending that prevents the panel sitting flat against the appliance
- Cracked, split or fractured panel material
- Elongated, stripped or missing fixing holes so the panel will not secure correctly
- Impact damage from servicing or from the appliance being moved
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and variant against the fitment list above, as Style and standard GR8701IW casings differ
- Check the existing back panel carries part number 8716119906 before ordering
- Verify whether the panel is the only casing component damaged, as adjacent panels and fixings may also need attention
- Consult the appliance installation and service documentation before removing any panel that forms part of the casing seal
