What it is
The code plug assembly is a Worcester Bosch component supplied for the Greenstar 28CDi ErP Compact NG boiler. It carries the appliance configuration data the boiler control reads to identify the model variant and gas type. This version is the natural gas (NG) code plug.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler reports a configuration or code plug fault on the control display
- The appliance fails to fire or run correctly after a control board change
- The code plug is missing, loose or shows heat or moisture damage
- The boiler is set for the wrong gas type following commissioning or conversion work
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance is the Greenstar 28CDi ErP Compact NG and check the GC number against the boiler data badge
- Verify the boiler is running on natural gas, as this plug is the NG version
- Check the existing code plug part number against 8716117707 before ordering
