What it is
The 8716117168 is a natural gas code plug for the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 12i System ErP combi boiler. A code plug is a small encoded component that tells the boiler's control board which gas type and output setting the appliance is configured for.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out with a configuration or gas-type fault code
- Boiler won't fire correctly after any control board or gas-type work
- An engineer's diagnostics show the control board isn't reading the expected code
Before you order
- Match the part number printed on the plug you're removing, not just the boiler model
- Isolate electrical power to the boiler before opening the casing
- Confirm your boiler runs on natural gas, not LPG, before fitting
