What it is

The Worcester Bosch condensate trap cap is a replacement component for the condensate trap and siphon assembly used across the Greenstar i ErP System range. It forms part of the condensate discharge path, where condensate produced during combustion is collected and released through the trap. A sound cap and siphon assembly keeps that drainage path sealed and working, so the boiler continues to run without nuisance lockouts or water escaping inside the casing.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water pooling beneath the boiler or inside the casing around the condensate trap
  • A persistent damp or acidic smell near the appliance from escaping condensate
  • Gurgling or bubbling noises from the trap area during or after firing
  • Boiler locking out or failing to ignite because the siphon is not draining correctly
  • Visible cracking, distortion or perishing on the cap or its sealing face

Before you order

  • Check the GC number and appliance serial plate to confirm the boiler model before ordering.
  • Confirm the alternative number 1031137 against the part you are removing.
  • Inspect the trap and siphon seals while the cap is off and replace any that are worn.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
