What it is
The Worcester Bosch 8 litre expansion vessel is a sealed pressure chamber fitted to Si, C1 and RD series boilers. Its air charge acts as a cushion, absorbing the expansion of water as the system heats and protecting the appliance and its components from excess pressure. The vessel is a serviceable item and is replaced when the internal charge is lost or the chamber is damaged.
