What it is

This is a Worcester Bosch oil hose kit supplied as a 700mm length of HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber) hose, intended for use on oil-fired appliances in the Danesmoor range. It carries oil between components within the appliance and is manufactured to resist the swelling and hardening that mineral oil and kerosene can cause in ordinary rubber. The kit is listed under Worcester Bosch part number 87161153110.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Oil weeping or visible damp patches around the hose ends or unions
  • Hose surface cracked, hardened or swollen after prolonged contact with kerosene
  • A persistent oil smell in the vicinity of the appliance
  • Burner lockout or unstable combustion traced to restricted or aerated oil supply
  • Loose or perished hose that no longer seals correctly at the connection points

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and, where available, the GC number against the compatibility list before ordering
  • Check the previous part numbers listed below against the number on the existing hose, as Worcester Bosch has used several references for this item
  • Inspect the unions and any sealing washers at both ends of the hose and replace them if they show signs of damage
  • Oil-fired appliance work should be carried out by a competent OFTEC-registered engineer
