Worcester Bosch Heat Exchanger Assembly Painted 12/18 87161136430

The Worcester Bosch 87161136430 is a painted heat exchanger assembly supplied for the Greenstar 12/18 oil boiler range. It sits in the combustion path and transfers heat from the burner gases into the appliance's water circuit, so it is central to both heating and hot water performance. The painted finish is applied to the exchanger body to resist corrosion in the condensing environment.

• Water weeping or rust staining around the heat exchanger body or its connections
• Soot, scale or combustion deposits building up on the exchanger surfaces
• The boiler locking out or repeatedly failing to reach its set temperature
• Kettling, banging or rumbling noises as the appliance heats up
• Flaking paint, pitting or visible corrosion on the exchanger casing

• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Check the model and serial plate on the appliance to confirm it matches the Greenstar 12/18 oil range.
• Cross-check the alternative number 2243959 against the marking on the old exchanger before ordering.
• Inspect any gaskets and seals disturbed during removal and replace them if they are compressed or damaged.
