What it is
The diverter valve actuator assembly is a Worcester Bosch hydraulic component used in Greenstar Heatslave oil-fired boiler ranges. It drives the diverter valve inside the appliance, moving the valve between its positions so that water flow is directed to the correct circuit for heating or hot water. The assembly is supplied as a single unit and carries a 1 year manufacturer guarantee.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water while the heating continues to run as normal
- Heating circuit warming up when only hot water is called for
- Actuator head not moving, or moving only part way, when the valve is demanded
- Motor running continuously or buzzing without shifting the valve spindle
- Valve stuck in one position, leaving the appliance unable to switch between heating and hot water
