What it is
This is a Worcester Bosch O-ring kit supplied for the hydraulic sections of Greenstar and CDi boiler ranges. The O-rings, gaskets and washers in the kit seal the joints where components meet pipework, including heat exchanger and gas valve connections. Their job is to keep water and gas contained at those joints under normal operating pressure and temperature.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or tracking from joints around the heat exchanger or hydraulic block
- Damp staining or crusting around pipe connections inside the casing
- A gas smell or a detected leak at the gas valve joint
- O-rings that are flattened, hardened, cracked or visibly perished on inspection
- Repeated pressure loss that traces back to a seal rather than a component fault
