What it is

The flue gas safety device is a Worcester Bosch component fitted within the flue path of the appliance. It monitors flue conditions and interrupts the burner sequence when they fall outside safe operating limits. It is supplied under part number 87072062820.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler locks out or fails to fire, with the fault recurring after resetting.
  • The appliance shuts down shortly after the burner ignites.
  • The safety device does not operate when the flue condition it monitors is applied.
  • The device or its connections show damage, corrosion or continuity faults.

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model matches Worcester W11 B31 S7895.
  • Check the existing device against part number 87072062820 before ordering.
  • Isolate the electrical supply to the appliance before inspection or replacement.
  • Check the flue and its seals for damage, as a faulty flue can produce the same symptoms as a failed device.
