What it is
The Halstead 862002 is a Sifan fan assembly rated at 240V 50Hz, used as the combustion fan on a small group of Halstead and Sime gas boilers. It draws fresh air into the combustion chamber so the gas can burn correctly, then clears the residual flue products once combustion is complete. The boiler's safety controls monitor the fan, so a unit that stops running or runs erratically will normally stop the appliance from firing.
