What it is
The Vokera 8478 is a spark electrode supplied with an attached lead. It forms part of the ignition circuit on Vokera Maxin and Mynute gas boilers, delivering the spark that lights the burner on a demand for heat or hot water.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite and locks out on a regular basis
- No spark is visible at the burner when ignition is called
- The ceramic insulator is cracked, chipped or blackened
- The electrode tip is eroded, corroded or bridged with carbon
- The attached lead is split, brittle or has a loose connection at the electrode
