What it is
The Vokera 8444 is an O-ring used as a sealing component within Vokera gas boilers. It seals mating faces and threaded connections in the hydraulic and water-carrying sections of the appliance, preventing weeping and air ingress at the joint. This item is supplied as a pack of 10.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible weeping or a damp trace around the joint the O-ring seals
- The O-ring has hardened, flattened or lost its elasticity
- Cracking, splitting or nibbling along the ring surface
- The ring sits loose in its groove instead of seating under slight compression
- Scale or debris embedded in the ring after the joint has been disturbed
