What it is
The Vokera 8434 is a venturi used in the fan and air pressure circuit of Vokera Excell gas boilers. It creates the pressure differential that the boiler's air pressure switch reads to prove fan operation before ignition. It is fitted to the Excell 80E, 80SP and 96E models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to fire on an air pressure or fan fault
- Fan runs but the pressure switch does not prove, causing repeated ignition attempts
- Whistling or unusual noise from the fan and venturi area
- Poor or unstable combustion readings traced to the fan air circuit
- Visible damage, blockage or debris in the venturi
