What it is
The Intergas 843017 is a manual air release valve with a G3/8 inch connection, used to vent trapped air from the boiler's water circuit. It is fitted across a wide range of Intergas Combi Compact, Compact HRE, Rapid, Xclusive and Xtreme appliances. Manual operation allows air to be bled at the valve when filling, commissioning or servicing the system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Persistent gurgling or trickling noises from the boiler during operation
- Air repeatedly accumulating in the system after bleeding radiators
- Poor or uneven heat output from radiators despite correct system pressure
- Water weeping or staining around the valve body or its threaded connection
- Pump noise or cavitation linked to air remaining in the boiler circuit
