What it is
The Halstead 840501 is a pressure switch service kit for Halstead gas boilers. It forms part of the air pressure switch circuit, which proves that the fan is running and air is moving through the appliance before the boiler is allowed to fire. The kit is listed under air pressure switch spares for the ACE, Finest and Wickes combi ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire when there is a demand for heat
- The fan runs but the boiler does not ignite
- Repeated or intermittent lockouts during operation
- The boiler fires briefly and then shuts down
- A fault code relating to the air pressure switch is displayed
Before you order
- Confirm your boiler model against the fitment list above
- Check the serial number range shown for each model, as fitment depends on it
- Inspect the existing pressure switch, its sensing tubes and electrical connections before ordering
