What it is
The Triton 83314080 is a thermostatic valve for Triton Vivace showers, supplied in the old style pre-2010 pattern with a brass thread. It controls the temperature of the mixed water leaving the shower, holding it steady when supply pressure or flow changes. The brass thread is the identifying feature of this earlier variant.
Before you order
- Confirm the shower is a Triton Vivace unit made before 2010, as later models use a different valve arrangement.
- Check that the thread on the existing valve is brass, which identifies the old style variant.
- Compare the number 83314080 against the marking on the existing component or the appliance documentation.
- If the age of the unit is uncertain, establish the model and date of manufacture before ordering.
