The Vokera 8308 is a spark electrode used on Vokera Excell gas boilers. It sits in the combustion area and provides the ignition spark that lights the burner on a demand for heat. It is a serviceable ignition component, listed under electrodes in the Vokera boiler spares range.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler clicks on ignition but the burner does not light
  • Repeated ignition lockouts, particularly on first start of the day
  • No visible spark at the electrode when ignition is called
  • Cracked or discoloured ceramic insulator on the electrode body
  • Eroded, pitted or heavily carboned electrode tip
