What it is
The Glow-worm 801631 is a heat exchanger door kit for Glow-worm gas boilers. It forms the closure over the heat exchanger and combustion chamber area on the Ultracom and GW appliance families. The door seals the combustion chamber so that the burner and heat exchanger operate within a controlled, gas-tight enclosure.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The door seal is perished, hardened or visibly damaged
- Corrosion, distortion or heat discolouration on the door panel
- Combustion readings that fall outside the expected range and cannot be corrected by adjustment
- Signs of leakage around the combustion chamber door joint
- The door will not seat or seal correctly after servicing
