What it is
The negative venturi pressure tube is a Vokera gas boiler component used within the appliance's air and gas circuit. It forms part of the pressure sensing arrangement on pre-May 2006 Vokera boiler platforms, including the Excell, Linea, Maxin and Mynute ranges. The part carries the manufacturer reference 7948.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or drops into lockout without an obvious cause elsewhere
- Combustion readings drift or the gas and air mixture cannot be set correctly
- The flame is unstable, noisy or lifts away from the burner
- Whistling or unusual noise from the air and gas circuit
- Visible damage, blockage or splitting on the tube itself
