What it is
The Baxi 7841063 is a fan and mixer assembly used on selected Baxi combi and system boilers in the 24kW to 30kW range. It combines the combustion fan with the gas/air mixing section, drawing air and gas into the burner at the correct ratio for controlled combustion. It is a serviceable component, so it is replaced as a complete assembly rather than rebuilt on site.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to ignite, with a fan or air pressure related fault code stored
- Grinding, scraping or whining noise from the fan area on start-up or during running
- Fan runs intermittently, at reduced speed, or not at all when demand is present
- Combustion readings drift outside tolerance and cannot be corrected by servicing alone
- Visible damage, contamination or stiffness when the fan is rotated by hand
