What it is
The Viessmann radial fan NRG118 E CVI is a combustion fan assembly used on Vitodens 100-W WB1B and Vitodens 100W Compact gas boilers. It draws the flue gases through the heat exchanger and discharges them to atmosphere, and it supplies combustion air to the burner. It is supplied under Viessmann part number 7833759.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite or locks out on a fan-related fault
- Fan runs noisily, with bearing rumble, scraping or intermittent operation
- Fan does not spin up when the boiler calls for heat
- Repeated lockouts that clear temporarily after a reset
- Visible damage, contamination or stiffness when the fan is rotated by hand
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler model and serial number against the fit list above
- Check the existing fan assembly for its part number and NRG118 E CVI marking
- Inspect the fan housing, gasket and electrical plug for damage before fitting
- Work on the combustion circuit must be carried out by a competent heating engineer
