What it is
The rear cover for the control unit is a Viessmann enclosure panel that closes the back of the control unit housing on Vitodens condensing boilers. It is supplied under Viessmann part number 7831617 and forms part of the casing around the boiler's control and PCB assembly. Its role is to enclose and protect the rear of the control unit, keeping the internal electronics covered in normal service.
