What it is
The Viessmann Ignition & Ionization Electrode + Lead & Gasket is a combined spark and flame sensing electrode assembly for Viessmann Vitodens 100W Compact gas boilers. It provides the ignition spark at the burner and, once a flame is established, signals flame presence back to the boiler control. The assembly is supplied with its lead and gasket.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler attempts to fire but does not ignite, ending in a lockout
- No spark at the burner during the ignition sequence
- Boiler fires briefly then shuts down because flame is not detected
- Repeated lockouts or intermittent ignition across successive cycles
- Visible damage, cracking or heavy contamination at the electrode tip or lead
