What it is
The Viessmann 7827932 valve insert is the internal service component of the diverter valve used on Vitodens 111-W, 222-F and 242-F appliances. It controls the changeover between domestic hot water and central heating within the valve body. Supplied as a Viessmann part for servicing or repair of the diverter valve assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Hot water runs lukewarm or cold while the boiler is firing
- Radiators heat up during a hot water draw-off, or hot water temperature drops when a heating demand starts
- The diverter valve fails to change over between heating and hot water modes
- The valve insert becomes stiff or sticking through scale and debris in the system water
- Water weeping from the diverter valve body around the insert
