This is the Viessmann cable harness for the X8, X9 and ionisation connections, supplied under part number 7826386. It is the wiring loom that links the ionisation electrode and the X8/X9 plug positions to the boiler control. It is used on Vitodens 200-W WB2B combi and system appliances.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to prove flame and locks out shortly after ignition.
- Repeated lockouts that clear temporarily when the ionisation lead or its plug is moved.
- Visible damage to the loom: chafed insulation, scorched or brittle cable, or heat damage near the burner.
- Loose, corroded or intermittent X8 or X9 plug connections at the control.
- Continuity faults in the ionisation lead that cannot be resolved by cleaning or re-seating the electrode connection.
