What it is
The Baxi 7826079 is a silencer assembly rated at 30kW, supplied with a restrictor and fixing screws. It is fitted within the flue or combustion air path of compatible Baxi combi and system boilers to dampen noise generated by airflow through the appliance. The restrictor forms part of the same assembly and is used to regulate flow where the installation requires it.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Increased operating noise from the boiler, particularly a whistle or hum from the flue or air intake
- Resonance or vibration that was not present previously
- Noise that changes with fan speed or boiler output
- Visible damage, distortion or contamination of the existing silencer
- Restrictor missing, damaged or incorrectly fitted
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the fit list above
- Check the boiler is a 30kW variant, as the silencer rating must match the appliance
- Confirm whether a restrictor is required for your flue configuration before fitting
- Inspect the existing fixings and sealing arrangement so any additional parts can be identified
