What it is
The Viessmann 7824248 is an 8 litre flow limiter used in Vitodens WB1A Combi gas boilers. It regulates the flow rate through the appliance's water circuit, and is specified for units built from 23.03.2005 onwards. It is a serviceable component within the boiler's hydraulic assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing

- Flow rate is erratic or fluctuates between draws
- The boiler fails to modulate correctly in hot water mode
- Visible scale, debris or damage at the limiter on inspection
- Hot water performance degrades after the limiter has been disturbed during other work

- Compare the serial number on the data badge with the listed serial numbers
- Verify the existing limiter is rated at 8 litre before ordering
