What it is
The pressure switch tube is a Viessmann control cable pipe that runs from the gas valve to the pressure switch. It is used on Viessmann Vitodens 100 and Vitodens 100-W WB1A appliances built between 14.01.2005 and 12.08.2005. Its function is to carry the pressure signal from the gas valve to the pressure switch so the boiler can prove correct operating conditions.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to fire or locks out because the pressure switch is not receiving a signal
- Visible cracking, hardening or brittleness along the tube
- Traces of leakage or moisture at the tube connections
- The tube has been disturbed, kinked or pulled loose during servicing
- Intermittent boiler operation traced to the pressure switch circuit
