What it is
The Buderus 78120 is a concentric adaptor for Buderus 500 series gas boilers. It forms the connection between the appliance flue outlet and the concentric flue system, keeping the flue gas and combustion air paths correctly separated and sealed. It is a serviceable flue component supplied as a single adaptor.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion of the adaptor body
- Condensate weeping or staining at the flue joint
- Deteriorated or displaced internal seal allowing air and flue gas paths to mix
- Soot marking around the adaptor indicating leakage at the connection
- The adaptor no longer sits squarely or seals correctly against the appliance flue outlet
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model matches one of the listed 500 series variants
- Check the existing adaptor and its seal for damage before ordering
- Verify the part number 78120 against any markings on the old component
- Confirm the flue configuration in use is compatible with a concentric adaptor
