What it is
The Baxi 7810715 is a chassis earth cable used on Baxi Combi 2 appliances. It provides the earthing connection between the appliance chassis and the electrical earth point, forming part of the boiler's protective earthing arrangement. It is a serviceable electrical component rather than a hydraulic or combustion part.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible damage to the cable insulation, such as cuts, chafing or heat marking
- Corroded, discoloured or brittle ring terminals or conductor strands
- Loose or insecure termination at the chassis or earth stud
- Continuity or earth resistance readings outside the expected values during testing
- Cable disturbed or damaged during other service work on the appliance
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model against the fit list above, as the Combi 2 range covers several outputs and gas variants
- Check the part number on the existing cable or appliance documentation where it is legible
- Inspect the cable routing and termination points so any associated fixings or fasteners can be assessed at the same time
- Isolate the electrical supply before removing or refitting any earthing component
