What it is
The Baxi 7810663 is an ignition electrode cable used on Baxi Combi and System 2 boiler ranges. It carries the ignition voltage from the control board to the ignition electrode at the burner, allowing the boiler to establish a flame on a call for heat. The cable is supplied as a single lead with the terminations required for the electrode and PCB connection points.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to ignite, with no spark at the electrode
- Repeated lockout on ignition attempts
- Visible damage to the cable insulation, such as cracking, chafing or heat marking
- Loose, corroded or discoloured spade terminals at either end of the lead
- Intermittent ignition faults that change when the cable is moved
