What it is

The Buderus 78016 is a three-way diverter valve with 3/4 inch connections. It is fitted to Buderus 600 series gas boilers and directs water between the central heating circuit and the domestic hot water circuit as demand changes.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water while the heating continues to run normally
  • Radiators warm up when only hot water is called for
  • Water weeping from the valve body or around the spindle
  • Actuator runs but the valve does not change position
  • Boiler locks out or reports a diverter valve fault
