What it is
The Baxi 7740175 is a front door assembly supplied as a casing kit for the Platinum+ range of combi boilers. It forms the outer panel that closes the front of the appliance, shielding the internal components from dust and accidental contact while giving the boiler its finished appearance. Baxi produces the part for the Platinum+ 40 Combi models listed below, and it is a non-gas-carrying casing component.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Cracks, splits or holes in the front door panel
- Broken or worn hinge points, so the door no longer sits square on the casing
- Damaged fixing lugs or stripped screw holes that will not hold the panel securely
- Impact damage or corrosion affecting the panel's finish
- The panel no longer seats correctly against the boiler casing, leaving a visible gap
