What it is

The Andrews 7727951 is a 24-litre expansion vessel used on Andrews water heaters. It forms part of the sealed system on Maxxflo EVO models, absorbing the expansion of water as it is heated so that system pressure stays within safe limits.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • System pressure climbs sharply during heating and drops again as the water cools.
  • The pressure relief valve discharges water during normal heating cycles.
  • System pressure needs topping up frequently.
  • The vessel feels heavy or sounds full of water when tapped, indicating a lost air charge.
  • Corrosion or water weeping is visible at the vessel connection.

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model against the fitment list above.
  • Check that the existing vessel's capacity and connection match the 24-litre unit.
  • Verify part number 7727951 on the existing component or against the manufacturer's parts list.
  • Rule out other causes of pressure loss, such as a faulty pressure relief valve or filling loop.
