What it is
The Andrews side flange plate is a 146 mm diameter component used on Andrews water heaters. It closes and seals the side opening on the appliance, forming part of the water-containing assembly. It is supplied as a single plate.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the side flange joint
- Visible corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the plate face
- Cracks, distortion or warping of the plate
- Staining or mineral deposits around the flange, indicating a long-term leak
- Difficulty achieving a watertight joint when the flange is reassembled
Before you order
- Measure the existing plate to confirm the 146 mm diameter
- Check your Andrews water heater model against the manufacturer's parts list
- Inspect the mating surface and fasteners for damage that may also need attention
- Check whether the sealing gasket or washer can be reused before refitting
