What it is
The Worcester Bosch mechanical timer is a plug-in time switch that controls when the heating and hot water circuits run on compatible boilers. It is also referred to as a clock, programmer or time switch, and gives the user direct control over on and off periods to suit daily routines. The unit is designed for the CDi Series, CDiXtra Series, i Series and Bosch boiler ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler stops responding to the set programme and runs only on continuous or manual operation
- The timer dial becomes stiff, slips or will not hold the selected switching times
- Heating or hot water fails to come on at the programmed period
- The clock loses time or drifts, so switching points move away from the intended schedule
