What it is

The Andrews gas valve assembly, part number 7697582, is a natural gas (NG) valve supplied with a gasket. It controls the flow of gas to the burner on Andrews Ecoflo water heaters and forms part of the appliance gas train.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to ignite or repeatedly locks out on a gas or ignition fault
  • No gas reaches the burner despite a call for heat
  • Burner operation is intermittent or erratic
  • The valve does not open or close fully, affecting firing rate control
  • Visible corrosion, damage or gas leakage around the valve body

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance is a natural gas (NG) unit — this valve is not intended for LPG
  • Check the part number on the existing valve matches 7697582
  • Confirm the appliance is an Ecoflo EC380/1400 or LEC380/1400 E Series model
  • Gas valve replacement must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
