What it is

The Baxi 7692714 is a printed circuit board (PCB) manufactured by Baxi for the System 28 IE LPG boiler. It is the main control board for the appliance, handling the ignition sequence, fan and pump control, temperature regulation and the safety interlocks that shut the boiler down when a fault is detected. The board is specific to the System 28 IE LPG variant, so it is not interchangeable with the equivalent natural gas model.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler fails to fire or does not respond when there is a call for heat.
  • The display is blank, flickering or showing inconsistent readings.
  • The appliance locks out repeatedly and will not reset.
  • The fan, pump or ignition sequence runs erratically or not at all.
  • Fault codes appear that point to control board communication or sensing errors.

Before you order

  • Confirm the exact appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as the LPG board differs from the natural gas version.
  • Check the existing board for its part number and revision marking before ordering, as board revisions can change during a production run.
  • Inspect the wiring harness, plugs and earth connections for damage or corrosion while the board is removed.
  • If the boiler has suffered a water leak or overheating event, check for related component damage before fitting a replacement board.
