What it is
The Baxi 7678800 is a service printed circuit board (PCB) for Baxi combi and system boilers, supplied within the L4 electronics range. It is the main control board, handling ignition sequencing, burner modulation, pump and fan output, and the boiler's safety interlocks. Replacing a failed board restores normal control of the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire, with no ignition sequence starting
- No heating or hot water despite a call for heat from the programmer or thermostat
- Repeated fault codes, or a blank or erratic display on the boiler fascia
- Visible scorching, burn marks or bulging capacitors on the board
- Fan, pump or diverter valve not being driven while the boiler is running
