What it is
The plenum cover is an Andrews Water Heaters component that fits the RSC 190 water heater. It closes over the plenum chamber, the section of the appliance where combustion air and flue gases are collected before entering the flue path. The cover must sit correctly and seal against the plenum face so that the combustion circuit remains sound.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Corrosion or rust breakthrough on the cover panel
- Distortion or warping so the cover no longer sits flat against the plenum face
- Sooting or staining around the cover joint, indicating leakage from the combustion circuit
- Flue gases audible escaping at the cover joint during operation
- Cover found to be unserviceable during a combustion or flue path inspection
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is an Andrews Water Heaters RSC 190
- Check the part number 7678670 against the existing cover or the appliance parts list
- Inspect the plenum face, fixings and any sealing material for damage before refitting
- Isolate the power and gas supply and follow the manufacturer service instructions before removing the existing cover
