What it is
The insulation bracket, part number 7672018, is a Main casing component used to hold the boiler's insulation in position. It is listed for the Main Heating Only HE range and for a number of Potterton gas boiler families. The bracket keeps the insulation panel seated correctly against the casing so it stays in place during service and operation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The bracket is cracked, snapped or has lost its retaining shape
- Corrosion or heavy rusting on the bracket where it contacts the casing
- The insulation panel is loose, sagging or sitting away from the casing
- Rattling or movement from the insulation area when the casing is refitted
- The bracket is missing or was not refitted after previous work
Before you order
- Check your appliance model against the fitment list above
- Confirm the GC number on your boiler's data badge matches your model
- Confirm the part number 7672018 against the manufacturer's parts list for your appliance
- Inspect the insulation panel at the same time, as a damaged bracket often accompanies damaged insulation

Fitment listings are a guide, not a guarantee. Plant-room assemblies get modified on site more often than not. Send us the GC number off the data badge and a photo of the existing valve and we will confirm before anything is dispatched.
