What it is
The Baxi 7662070 is a burner assembly supplied by Baxi for use in its ErP Combi boiler range. It carries the gas/air mixture to the combustion chamber, where the flame is established and heat is transferred to the appliance's heat exchanger. It is a combustion-critical component and is fitted as part of the burner kit for these models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Repeated flame failure or ignition lockout despite correct gas supply and ignition components
- Visible corrosion, distortion or cracking of the burner body or burner bars
- Sooty deposits, discoloured flame or unstable flame pattern at the burner
- Combustion readings outside the appliance's specified tolerance, or a failed flue gas analysis
- Physical damage found during a service or burner inspection
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the data plate before ordering
- Check the manufacturer's parts list for your specific model to confirm this part number applies
- Inspect the burner sealing gasket and any associated seals, as these may need replacing at the same time
- Confirm whether the existing burner is to be replaced as a complete assembly or inspected further first
